Value At Work

Well-Rounded

Having Joined HMS Valuation Partners in 2014, Travis’s primary focus is valuing compensation for clinical services provided by physicians. More specifically, Travis’s work often entails an operational assessment, financial analysis of cash flow management, and a reimbursement analysis. He oversees the review of each provider’s procedural code analysis in order to understand the case mix, work productivity ratios, and reasonability of professional and technical collections.  While considering clinical compensation within the context of additional compensation sources, Travis will also provide valuation opinions on administrative services (i.e. teaching, directorships of departments, etc.) or call coverage shifts.  Routinely working with hospital Administrators, CFO’s, and CEO’s, as well as practice managers when dealing with compensation agreements and/or acquisitions, Travis especially enjoys seeing a project through from data gathering to the culmination of Fair Market Value.

Experienced

Travis graduated in 2004 from William Carey College with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in business administration, with a concentration in finance. He went on to receive his Masters of Business Administration, with a concentration in finance, in 2005 from the University of New Orleans. Starting his career as an Auditor for the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office, Travis was responsible for sales tax audits ensuring compliance with applicable local laws, along with identifying and investigating audit leads, researching legislation to identify changes and ensure compliance, etc. After 5 years, Travis moved into a Cost Accountant role with a technology-based company in New Orleans before joining HMS. Travis is eligible to be a Certified Valuation Analyst with the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts.

He also enjoys the challenge of working under quick turnaround deadlines and delivering a project efficiently and accurately. Travis brings a sense of calm and remains very detail-oriented when juggling multiple projects, clients and ever-changing demands.

Value Outside Work

My favorite things to do as a kid were. . .
Spending most of my time outside of school playing sports and video games with other kids in my neighborhood. We’d play football, basketball, soccer, etc. We also had many sleepovers playing video games—the most fun game was GoldenEye 007 on Nintendo 64.

As a big kid, I like to. . .
Play games and watch movies with my wife and two daughters.

One of the things I hope to do. . .
Is to escape the busyness by retiring in a motorhome and traveling the country.
